
Andi Rahadian appointed Indonesian Ambassador to Oman and Yemen

Ambassador Andi Rahadian emphasized that he will carry out his duties in accordance with the president's directives, particularly in enhancing Indonesia's bilateral relations with Oman and Yemen in various strategic sectors.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Andi Rahadian as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen, on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the State Palace, Jakarta.
Following the inauguration, Andi Rahadian expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and optimally carrying out the state's mandate.
Ambassador Andi Rahadian emphasized that he would carry out his duties in accordance with the president's directives, particularly in enhancing Indonesia's bilateral relations with Oman and Yemen in various strategic sectors.
"I will carry out the duties assigned by the President to enhance bilateral relations effectively and positively in the political, economic, social, cultural, protocol, and consular fields," he told the media.
In addition to strengthening relations between the two countries, Ambassador Andi Rahadian also emphasized the importance of protecting Indonesian citizens as part of Indonesia's diplomatic priorities in the region.
Responding to the current geopolitical dynamics, including tensions in the Middle East, Andi expressed his readiness to optimally implement all directives from the central government.
"Of course, we will carry out our duties to the best of our ability in accordance with the central government's directives," he emphasized.
He also added that all duties, whether in the economic, socio-cultural, or protection of Indonesian citizens, will be carried out in an integrated manner and in accordance with government policy.
Ambassador Andi Rahadian also asked for support and prayers so that he can carry out his mandate to the best of his ability.
"We ask for your prayers, that we can carry out the duties entrusted to us by the President as well as possible for the sake of the nation, state, and country," he said.
Andi Rahadian's appointment as ambassador is stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 31/P of 2026 concerning the Appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia.
