
ASEAN University International collaborates with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

ASEAN University International (AUI) can interact directly with representatives from UKM, opening up further educational cooperation, such as student exchanges and joint study programs as well as undergraduate higher education.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The arrival of a delegation from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Thursday (Spt. 21) marked a historic milestone in the journey of ASEAN University International (AUI), which is part of the family of Al-Wafi Islamic Boarding School which is moving towards an Islamic international school.“The visit of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is one of the important moments in AUI's history. This is a clear proof that we have achieved a level of international recognition in the education sector," the Dean of the AUI Dirasat Islamiah, KH. Dr. Ali Saman Hasan, Lc., LLM., MA, said."We are very grateful for this visit and hope to continue to build close cooperation with UKM," Dr. Ali remarked in his statement quoted by Indonesia Window on Tuesday (Sept. 26).The UKM delegation was represented by the Head of Heet (Higher Education English Test) Dr. Nur Ehsan Mohd Said, HEET Project Manager Dr. Rosnah Mohd Sham and HEET Research Assistant Ncik Wan Muhamad Shahlan Wan Masri.HEET (Higher Education English Test) is an instrument to measure English language skills for the students of AUI and Al Wafi, which is the result of collaboration between AUI and UKM.If participants pass the HEET, they are expected to sit in semester 3 of UKM."The aim of the test is to measure the English language competency of AUI and Al-Wafi students," said Dr. Nur Ehsan Mohd Said who on that occasion, expressed his gratitude to AUI for their welcome.The discussion between the two delegations focused on efforts to improve education through collaboration between the two institutions.According to Dr. Ali, one of the goals is to make AUI an international Islamic higher education that combines Islamic principles with international standard higher education.This meeting creates a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, experience and best practices in the world of education, including discussion of teaching methods, curriculum, higher education, language centers and educational research.Through this meeting, ASEAN University International (AUI) can interact directly with representatives from UKM, opening up further educational cooperation, such as student exchanges and joint study programs as well as undergraduate higher education.Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is one of the leading universities in Malaysia and is internationally known for its academic excellence.This collaboration is a clear evidence that AUI and Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School are increasingly going international in achieving global education standards.
