Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A total of 39,165,980 Indonesians received the second doses of the COVID-19 vaccines as of Tuesday (Sep. 7), including 693,889 people who were inoculated the previous day, according to data from the National COVID-19 Task Force.

The latest data from the COVID-19 Task Force received here, Tuesday, also showed that the number of people in the country who received the first doses of vaccines have reached 68,208,588, an increase of 1,053,235 people from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the number of health workers who have received the third doses of the COVID-19 vaccines increased by 11,293 people, bringing it to 726,589 in total.

The Indonesian government carried out the COVID-19 vaccination in stages with a target of 208,265,720 people in order to achieve herd immunity against the disease caused by infection with the SARS-CoV-2 type of coronavirus.

As of Tuesday (Sep. 7), the cumulative number of COVID-19 infection cases in Indonesia since the beginning of the pandemic reached 4,140,634, with 3,864,848 patients recovered, 137,156 dead, and the other 138,630 still undergoing treatment or quarantine.
