Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A total of 81,711,099 Indonesians have received two vaccine injections against COVID-19, as of Thursday (Nov. 11), according to data from the Ministry of Health.

That number included additional 756,960 people who were injected with a second doses of vaccines on the same day.

Meanwhile, the number of recipients of the first doses of vaccines recorded on Thursday was 812,079, bringing the total number to 128,147,345 people.

The total recipients of the third doses increased by 2,226 people, to 1,175,522 recipients in total.

The Indonesian government plans to vaccinate 208,265,720 people to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19 in the fourth most-populated country in the world.

Data from the ministry show that the total number of vaccines that have arrived in Indonesia from various brands, both in bulk sand ready to use forms, has so far been 332,671,550 doses.

Director of Indonesia’s state-owned vaccine manufacturer Bio Farma, Honesti, said that all vaccines were obtained from bilateral grants, among others from Australia, Japan, the United States, the Netherlands and France, as well as multilateral scheme through the COVAX Facility.

As of November 4, Bio Farma has distributed 233.4 million doses of vaccines to all regions in the country. In addition, there are a number of vaccines distributed directly by Pfizer.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health noted that as of November 4, 2021, the total number of COVID-19 vaccines that have been distributed by Bio Farma and Pfizer to all provinces in Indonesia was about 252 million doses, Honesti said.
