Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The number of the people who received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Indonesia reached 96,519,346, with the addition of 1,045,478 recipients who underwent the second vaccinations on Wednesday (Dec. 1).

According to data from the Ministry of Health received here on Wednesday, the number of Indonesians who received the first injections also increased by 839,608 people, bringing the total recipients of the first doses to 140,205,046.

This figure represents 46.34 percent of the target of 208,265,720 people set by the government to undergo two vaccinations to gain herd immunity against the virus that attacks the respiratory system.

Meanwhile, the number of third dose recipients as of Wednesday (Dec. 1) was recorded at 1,222,471 people.

The ministry’s data show that 1,922,615 health workers have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccines out of 1,468,764 targets.

In the elderly category, as many as 7,415,686 people have received two shots out of 21,553,118 people targeted by the government.

In the group of public workers, as many as 20,997,222 people have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, exceeding the government's target of 17,327,167 people.

Meanwhile, as many as 50,470,357 people from the category of vulnerable and public have been vaccinated of the target of 141,211,181.

In the group of 12-17 years old, 14,554,975 children and adolescents of 26,705,490 targets have received two doses of vaccines against the novel coronavirus.
