Bogor, West Java (Indonesia Window) – Outer space is not merely about sophisticated technology and advanced physics formulas that make forehead frowned.

The dimension of space which is said to be limited but not inseparable with many of its unsolved mysteries turned out to be an artistic inspiration for Lativatuz Zahra Djauhar, a 12th grade teenager at an Integrated Islamic High School of Insantama in Bogor, West Java.

A man-made celestial body named Dyson Sphere - named after inventor Freeman J. Dyson who first conceived the object in 1960 - was the focus of Lativatuz Zahra's painting objects at the 2019 International Exhibition and Young Inventors (IEYI) in the category of Art Technology.

The painting of Dyson Sphere mega structure that surrounds a particular star in order to capture the energy of the star maximally for the needs of civilization won a silver medal at IEYI 2019.

According to Lativatuz Zahra, the Dyson Sphere concept is similar to solar panels that are widely used today.

"It's time for us think think of other energy alternatives besides fossil fuels, and the sun can be a new energy source for the earth," she said.

She was one of 30 members of the Indonesian delegation who participated in the IEYI 2019.

Besides competing with his Indonesian counterparts, Lativatuz Zahra also faced other participants from Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and China.

The IEYI 2019 which was held in Tangerang, Banten on October 23-26, 2019 is an annual international youth scientific event.

This year, Indonesia was trusted to host the IEYI 2019 with the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) organizing the event.
