
Indonesia re-elected member of ITU Council

Indonesia becomes a member of the Council of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) for Region E (Asia and Australasia) for the 2023-2026 period, along with other 14 countries.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia was re-elected a member of the Council of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) for Region E (Asia and Australasia) for the 2023-2026 period at the 22nd ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Bucharest, Romania, on Monday (Oct. 3).Indonesia was elected along with 14 other countries, namely Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Jordan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Iraq, Iran and Kuwait, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. his statement here on Tuesday.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that Indonesia received the 3rd most votes in the election as a member of the ITU Council, or as many as 157 votes, after the United Arab Emirates and India.
