Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received 12 leaders of global investment companies in a meeting as part of his working visit to Washington, D.C., the United States, on Friday, February 20, 2026.
The investors are CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) and presidents of leading global investment companies with total assets under management of approximately 15 trillion US dollars, the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat reported on its website, as quoted by Indonesia Window on Sunday.
Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Downstream Development/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, who is also CEO of Danantara (Daya Anagata Nusantara), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, stated that the meeting, originally scheduled for one hour, lasted almost two hours due to the highly constructive discussion.
Danantara is Indonesia’s new sovereign wealth fund established by President Prabowo Subianto's administration, launched on February 24, 2025. Danantara is tasked with consolidating and optimizing state-owned enterprise assets, and managing strategic investments to increase the value of state assets.
"The discussion was quite lengthy, approximately two hours, but it was initially estimated to last only an hour because the discussion was very fruitful and productive," Rosan told the media after the meeting.
During the meeting, President Prabowo outlined the direction of national economic policy, steps to strengthen the investment climate, and the government's commitment to maintaining stability and legal certainty.
The dialogue then continued one-on-one with each company leader to discuss potential further collaboration.
Rosan explained that Danantara's presence has received positive appreciation from global investors. They see Danantara as having the potential to become a strategic local partner in various investment schemes, both in Indonesia and globally.
"They also have the potential to be Danantara's local partners, and that provides comfort and confidence, because we can invest together not only in Indonesia but also abroad," he explained.
Rosan conveyed that President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia no longer wants to be known as a sleeping giant. It's time for Indonesia to rise, move, and maximize the full potential of the national economy with global partners.
