Palestinian Ambassador appreciates Indonesia's continuous support

The Palestinian ambassador expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's continuous support for the struggle of the people in the Middle Eastern country to achieve their independence.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (locally known as Jokowi) received the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al-Shun, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, on Friday.In his statement after the meeting, the Palestinian ambassador expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's continuous support for the struggle of the people in the Middle Eastern country to achieve their independence."The Indonesian president always closely follows all developments that occur on the ground in Palestine, and in this case the Indonesian government strongly rejects various kinds of violations by Israel, and this was what the president of Indonesia said today (Friday),” Zuhair Al-Shun said.Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Shun explained that his party also conveyed to President Jokowi about the latest developments and the dynamics that are happening in Palestine.He likewise believes that consistent support does not only come from the Indonesian government, but also from all elements of this archipelagic country."We believe that Indonesia will never change and we see that this support has always been consistent, both from the side of the government and all elements of Indonesia. We once again convey our respectful greetings to the president of Indonesia and also the entire Indonesian nation for their consistent support for Palestine," he added.During the meeting, Al-Shun also congratulated all Muslims in Indonesia on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan."I feel happy to be able to meet His Excellency Mr. President to convey congratulations on Ramadan in this blessed month and we hope that Indonesia will become a developed and prosperous country," he said.On the occasion, President Jokowi was accompanied by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.Palestine is one of the countries that supports Indonesian sovereignty, even before the proclamation of independence of the largest archipelagic country in the world.Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
