Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Presiden Prabowo Subianto melakukan groundbreaking (peletakan batu pertama) Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Abadi Masela pada Kamis 16/7).

Acara tersebut dilakukan secara hybrid (hibrida) melalui konferensi video dari Istana Merdeka, Jakarta dan lokasi groundbreaking di Kabupaten Kepulauan Tanimbar, Provinsi Maluku.

Dalam laporannya, Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan tersebut menjadi tonggak penting bagi proyek abadi Masela.

Bahlil mengatakan bahwa peletakan batu pertama tersebut merupakan wujud komitmen pemerintah dalam memperkuat kemandirian energi sebagai pilar strategis pembangunan nasional.

“Proyek ini sejak tahun 1998, dan ini sangat berdampak besar pada perekonomian kita. Atas arahan dan dukungan Presiden, serta sinergi seluruh pemangku kepentingan proyek Abadi Masela, berhasil mencapai tonggak penting pada hari ini (16/7),” kata Menteri ESDM.

Pengembangan proyek abadi Masela mencakup pembangunan fasilitas hulu hingga hilir secara terintegrasi.

Dengan nilai investasi sekitar USD20,9 miliar, Menteri ESDM mengungkapkan bahwa proyek abadi Masela akan memiliki kapasitas sebesar 9,5 juta ton LNG per tahun yang dapat memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional. 1 dolar AS = 17.942,45 rupiah.

“Ini menghasilkan 9,5 juta ton LNG per tahun, atau setara dengan 120 MM dan 35 ribu barel kondensat per hari. Ini dalam rangka meningkatkan lifting kita. Dan saya pikir ini nanti gasnya yang sudah kita lakukan, Bapak Presiden, 60 persen minimal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan domestik dan 40 persen maksimal untuk kita melakukan ekspor,” lanjutnya.

Sementara itu, dalam sambutannya, Presiden Prabowo menyampaikan bahwa pembangunan suatu bangsa adalah upaya kerja keras yang membutuhkan persatuan semua elemen bangsa.

Oleh karena itu, Presiden menegaskan bahwa pembangunan proyek abadi Masela yang telah ditunggu hampir tiga dekade lamanya ini harus segera terselesaikan.

“Proyek ini hampir 3 dekade, 3 dasawarsa kita tunggu, 3 dekade 3 dasawarsa rakyat menunggu. Alhamdulillah hari ini kita mulai pembangunan dan pembangunan tidak boleh terhambat, harus selesai dalam waktu sesingkat-singkatnya,” kata Presiden.

Bagi pemerintah, dimulainya pembangunan LNG Abadi Masela bukan sekadar memulai sebuah proyek energi berskala besar, tetapi juga menjadi simbol percepatan hilirisasi, penguatan ketahanan energi, peningkatan nilai tambah sumber daya alam, serta komitmen untuk menghadirkan manfaat ekonomi yang lebih besar bagi Indonesia, khususnya bagi masyarakat Maluku dan kawasan timur Indonesia.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abadi Masela National Strategic Project on Thursday (July 16).

The event was held in a hybrid video conference from the Merdeka Palace in Capital Jakarta and the groundbreaking was located in Indonesia’s District of Tanimbar Islands, Maluku Province.

In his report, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources), Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that the event marked an important milestone for the Abadi Masela Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project.

Bahlil stated that the groundbreaking ceremony showed the government's commitment to strengthening energy independence as a strategic pillar of national development.

\"Thanks to the direction and support of the president, and the synergy of all stakeholders, the Abadi Masela LNG project has reached an important milestone today (July 16),\" the minister said.

The development of the project includes the construction of integrated upstream and downstream facilities.

With an investment value of approximately 20.9 billion US dollars, the minister noted that the project is expected to have a capacity of 9.5 million tons of LNG per year, which would strengthen national energy security.

\"This will produce 9.5 million tons of LNG per year, or the equivalent of 120 million barrels of LNG and 35,000 barrels of condensate per day. This is to increase our lifting capacity. And I think this is the gas that we have already used, at least 60 percent to meet domestic needs and a maximum of 40 percent for exports,\" he explained.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, President Prabowo pointed out that developing a nation is a hard work that requires the unity of all elements of the nation.

The president emphasized that the construction of the Abadi Masela LNG project, which has been waited for nearly three decades, must be completed immediately.

\"Thank God, today we are starting construction, and construction must not be hampered; it must be completed as soon as possible,\" the president said.

For the government, the start of the Abadi Masela LNG project is not simply the start of a large-scale energy project, but also a symbol of accelerated downstreaming, strengthening energy security, increasing the added value of natural resources, and a commitment to providing greater economic benefits for Indonesia, particularly for the people of Maluku and eastern Indonesia.
