The handicraft exhibition in Japan is expected be visited by around 300,000 people per day.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Japanese government will hold the handicraft exhibition on September 4 – 6, 2024.The organizing committee invited small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) from Indonesia to participate in the exhibition in the hope that Indonesian SME products be known in Japan, the CEO of Promotion Office Ltd. Japan, Richard Susilo, said in a press release received by IMBCNEWS in Jakarta, Wednesday.Richard said that the 98th Gift Show exhibition in Tokyo was the fourth largest exhibition in Japan after the Tokyo Motor Show. The handicraft exhibition in Japan is expected be visited by around 300,000 people per day.Entrepreneurs from Indonesia who want to participate in the exhibition are expected not only to gain profits, but would also gradually introduce Indonesian SME products whose prices are cheaper with quality not inferior to products from other countries including Japan.Richard also said that there are advantages to joining the handicraft exhibition. Firstly, the money for renting a 3x3x3 meter booth can be shared by five people so that each MSME (micro, small and medium entrepreneurs) from Indonesia would only pay around 90,200 yens or around nine million rupiahs. The cost of renting one booth is around 451,000 yens. Thus, if one booth is divided by five SMEs or six, for example, it will be lighter. He also said, if SMEs want to take part in the exhibition, deposit money can be sent no later than March 31, 2024, and potential participants can contact via email: jasajp@gmail.comHe also mentioned that registration actually opened early this year, to be precise December 31, 2023.Handicraft Indonesia going to Tokyo for three days in September 2024 is beneficial for the country’s business people or SMEs, because the exhibitors in Japan have qualified and would qualify if they take part in exhibitions in other countries, such as those in Europe or America."The standards applied in Japan are quite high, therefore, if you have already participated in an exhibition in Japan, you will certainly find it easier to participate in exhibitions in other places," he emphasized.Richard also detailed the participants who were allowed to take part. All Indonesian MSMEs, whether located in Indonesia or wherever they are (for example, those in Japan) are also allowed. However, he suggested that products that need to be sold should not be large products such as chairs or tables because it is difficult to sell them."So you can show off, for example, silver or gold accessories, embroidered handkerchiefs, batik cloth, small handicrafts such as glass/food tablecloths, and so on," he said, adding that Japan is a small country, different from Indonesia.Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
