Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin opened the Indonesian Commodity Pavilion at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), Sunday (Sept. 17), at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC), Guangxi, China. The vice president expressed his hope that the Indonesian Commodity Pavilion is expected to further introduce various Indonesian prime products to the world, according to the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat in a written statement quoted by Indonesia Window, Monday."My hope is that this pavilion would further introduce Indonesian products to Chinese consumers and open market access through direct selling or business-to-business cooperation," Vice President Ma'ruf said.Previously at the same place, the vice president also inaugurated the City of Charms Pavilion featuring the potential of Indonesia’s Central Kalimantan province, and hoped that the two pavilions would become a window to display the country’s export products."I received information that the pavilion has a total of 84 booths with participants from 49 companies promoting products including consumer goods, food and drink, fashion and accessories, as well as home decoration and furniture," he noted.According to the vice president, the Indonesian Commodity Pavilion illustrates Indonesia's determination to continue to expand market and promote the country’s prime products to the world. The vice president likewise underlined the importance of trade cooperation between Indonesia, China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)."(The pavilion) is another proof that CAEXPO as a trade promotion collaboration continues to bring concrete and positive results for Indonesian, ASEAN and Chinese business people," he said. The Indonesian Ambassador to China, Djauhari Oratmangun, has earlier said that more than 80 prime products from Indonesia, including from Central Kalimantan, were displayed in the pavilion.“This is an offline platform for branding Indonesian products.
