
Saudi hajj and umrah minister visits Indonesia for coordination to enhance services for pilgrims

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, commenced a visit to Indonesia on Monday (Apr 29) to discuss coordination means aimed at enhancing services for Indonesian pilgrims.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, commenced a visit to Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta on Monday (Apr 29) to discuss coordination means aimed at enhancing services for Indonesian pilgrims.During the visit, the minister will engage in consultations with Indonesian officials and chairpersons of umrah companies to provide them with an overview of the facilities available to ensure a seamless journey for visitors to Makkah and Madinah. He will also share insights into initiatives focused on enriching the visitors’ experience, such as visits to historical sites.The minister will shed light on the role of digital transformation in streamlining the hajj and umrah journeys. The visit’s agenda also includes the inauguration of the Nusuk platform exhibition, showcasing the platform’s contribution to serving pilgrims.Accompanying the minister is a high-level delegation comprising officials from the ministry, the umrah and hajj system, and the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP), along with heads of umrah companies and representatives from the private sector.The delegation aims to foster partnerships and collaboration among relevant entities to facilitate the journey of Indonesian pilgrims and enhance their overall experiences.This visit represents the latest in a series of international communication tours undertaken by the minister to highlight significant positive developments in serving pilgrims.
